It is focused on support of the special forces battalions, special forces companies, ODA teams, and conventional forces integration where needed prior to the resident phase of the Special Forces Warrant Officer Advanced Course.
Special Forces Sniper Course
This course provides doctrinal guidance on the mission, personnel, organization, equipment, training, skills, and employment of the Special Forces sniper. It describes those segments of sniping that are unique to SF soldiers and those portions of conventional sniping that are necessary to train indigenous forces. It is intended for use by commanders, staffs, instructors, and soldiers at JFKSWCS sniper training committee.
Special Operations Terminal Attack Controller Course (SOTACC)
This course is designed for the Special Operations soldiers in the technical and tactical skills and operational procedures necessary to effectively utilize rotary-wing and fixed-wing Close Air Support (CAS) assets in support of Special Operations Forces missions. Personnel are trained in the capabilities and limitations of US fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms and munitions, lasers and ground marking equipment, night and urban CAS, and close air planning and control.
